RDK WORX is an independent design/build venture by RDK Architect LLC to design and develop one of a kind homes on unique properties found in the Catskill Mountain region of upstate NY.
The intent is to create inspiring places to inhabit that evolve from, and capture the essence of the individual property.

Hog Mountain House

This home is shaped to nestle naturally into the property’s long rectangular form and positioned at a high point where it captures its unique panoramic views towards the south and west. Inspiration was drawn from the characteristics found in regional industrial agrarian buildings & Scandinavian farmhouses, and reinterpreted as a modern, sustainable dwelling. The floor plan is designed to visually connect and engage one to the outdoors from each room while performing the rituals of daily life. Energy efficiency is integral to the home’s design and construction which resulted in achieving LEED Gold certification by U.S. Green Building Council.
